Responsibilities:
- Enforce and implement HSE policies and procedures effectively within the company.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations through vigilant oversight.
- Design and execute comprehensive HSE training programs for employees.
- Thoroughly investigate workplace incidents, preparing detailed reports.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate and lead safety committee meetings and initiatives.
- Manage the submission and handling of WSIB reports and claims.
- Stay informed about the latest HSE advancements to drive ongoing improvement.
- Promptly address inquiries from both employees and supervisors.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by management, covering all basic HSE responsibilities in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations in the realm of environmental health and safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in training employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills for thorough risk assessment.
- Ability to devise innovative solutions to address safety concerns effectively.
